Saskia Martínez is senior in Boston University's BFA Scene Design program, hailing from Storrs, Connecticut. Selected design credits include Little Women: The Musical at Wheelock Family Theatre, Later the Same Evening (BU Opera Institute), and Beowulf: A Thousand Years of Baggage, as well as several new works as a part of Senior Theatre Arts Majors Productions. She worked as a prop master and as a scenic artist in the BU paint shop, most recently charging Our Country’s Good. As an assistant scenic designer, she’s worked with the BU Opera Institute and Boston Playwrights' Theatre. She’s spent her summers doing scenic art internships, both nearby at the Williamstown Theatre Festival and the Public Theatre and as far away as La Musica Lirica in Novafeltria, Italy. Saskia has a passion for new work, immersive theatre, and anything that pushes boundaries and challenges the limits of what theatre can be.
