Emma Barron is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana and is excited to be graduating with a BFA in Scene Design from Boston University. During her time in the School of Theatre, Emma discovered a love for unique collaboration, new work, and connecting with her fellow theatre makers through the rehearsal process. Some of her highlighted design credits include Kirsten Greenidge’s Little Row Boat; or, Conjecture, Quentin Jun Nguyen-Duy’s Amputees, and Isabella Casado Pelz’ KIL Claps Back. Emma does not just see herself as a designer but also a deviser. For her thesis she worked alongside seven other seniors to fully devise a movement based, post apocalyptic story titled CATALYST. Emma is interested in helping to tell the stories of communities that are not always heard. She also hopes to one day open a theatre company in New Orleans that specializes in all kinds of accessibility.
